So I Crashed and Burned on NaNoWrimo…

…and that’s okay. I knew going in it was going to be a tough slog, since my husband and I had already planned a trip to Sedona for the second week in November. I had vague visions of maybe writing in the car, or in the morning before we set off on our daily adventures, but the truth is that we were so busy the whole time that I didn’t have much opportunity for writing. By the time we got back home, I was already 10,000 words behind. That might not have been insurmountable, but...

More NaNoWriMo Promo

I realized yesterday that only discounting books on Amazon doesn’t help those of you who don’t own a Kindle or use a Kindle app. So Breath of Life and Bad Vibrations are also discounted at All Romance Ebooks, and discounts are soon to follow at B&N as well. Blame it on NaNoWriMo — which sort of made me drop out of the world for awhile. But what a great excuse! And since I now have a shiny new graphic in my sidebar that announces to the world that I did lose my mind even more so than usual in November, it’s time to get back to business. Yay — it’s now officially available on the Pink Petal Books site, in all ebook formats. Also, for the first month it’s out, it’s on sale for only $5.09, which is such a deal for...

Flow States

It’s funny how some projects have to be dragged kicking and screaming into the world, and how others flow out so effortlessly it’s almost as if you’re taking dictation from some unseen person. The good thing is that (most of the time, anyway), when you go back weeks or months later, I have a hard time distinguishing between the stuff that felt as if it was a fight to get every single word out on the page and the work that I kept typo’ing because I couldn’t get the...
